Why is building understanding in the borderlands an essential cause to pursue and support?

The further away one lives from the border region, the greater the myth of the borderlands is. The binational region is so much more than the narrow picture that is painted in the media and politics. In cultivating an understanding of the cultural and natural depth of the region we can counterbalance the stereotypes and broaden perspectives to the potential and uniqueness of this landscape that is unified by natural geography and common cultures.
Cuanto más lejos se vive de la frontera, mayor es el mito de la zona fronteriza. La región binacional es mucho más que el estrecho panorama que pintan algunos medios de comunicación y la política. Al cultivar la comprensión de la profundidad cultural y natural de la región, podemos contrarrestar algunos de los estereotipos y ampliar las perspectivas del potencial y la singularidad del paisaje unificado por la geografía natural y las culturas comunes.

Our History / Nuestra historia
This project began as a means to share positive information about the border area between Mexico and the United States (home) through graphics and designs published on our social networks. Our idea was to tell the stories and facts that make this region a unique and special place. So in July 2019 we set out to start this creative adventure, with our own means: history and design. In 2021 we venture to expand our cultural offerings to offer tours, public speaking and experiences that further enrich our purpose and build understanding for this region we call home.
Este proyecto inició como un medio para difundir información positiva de la zona fronteriza entre México y Estados Unidos (el lugar donde vivimos) a través de gráficos y diseños publicados en nuestras redes sociales. Nuestra idea era contar las pequeñas historias y datos que hacen de esta región, un lugar único y especial. Así que en julio de 2019 nos propusimos iniciar esta aventura, con nuestros propios medios: la historia y el diseño. En 2021 nos aventuramos a expandir nuestra oferta cultural para ofrecer recorridos y experiencias que enriquezcan aun más nuestro propósito, fomentar el entendimiento por esta región a la que llamamos hogar.
