Santa Cruz County Places: Canelo, Arizona

Black Oak Cemetery is one of those unexpected wonderful places that sometimes you just have to take the detour to go and see.

Once you arrive, you will be treated to a beautiful location in the Coronado National Forest that was a special concession to the local pioneer families of the Canelo Hills in eastern Santa Cruz County, Arizona to bury their loved ones.

The peace of nature and inspiration from the incredible views surrounding the burial place makes it clear as day why this place was selected to reflect on the transitory nature of life.
