Introducing: Borderlandia Podcast
You don’t want to miss out on this!
A year and a half ago, we began to develop the idea of creating a podcast series as part of our free educational offering. Alex was lucky enough to have archeologist Jack S. Williams as a part of the debut series. It was a perfect match since Alex was a student when he first met him in the 90s while taking part in a summer camp to excavate the San Diego Presidio (and eventually led to his passion for borderlands and Mexican history. It was full circle.
Eventually, Alex found out Jack was having health problems, so they paused the recording of the podcast. Sadly, Jack passed away in June 2022.
So, we finally decided it was time to make the podcast a public resource and share the incredible knowledge Jack conveyed in the weekly talks he had with Alex. His passing is a true loss for history lovers and borderlands enthusiasts, but we are so honored we had the chance to record this piece and we are sure you will be delighted to hear it too.
We’ll share six episodes with you, one every other week. The first one is on Spanish Colonial Tubac. So keep an eye out for the new episodes! Special thanks to Gerardo Preciado, for post-producing the podcast; we couldn’t do it without your help!
