Borderlandia mentioned in Spain Magazine

Some great news to share in the world of Spanish publications! Borderlandia was featured in one of the most popular history magazines in Spain, Desperta Ferro, by author Javier Torre of Denver University.

Javier's article, The Presidio, A Frontier Institution, concludes that this Hispanic heritage is still alive thanks to our efforts in heritage and cultural tourism in the Southwest alongside our friend Mauro Trejo’s work in preserving the memory of his ancestors.

Tumacácori Mission Tour for Kino Delegation

A beautiful morning at Tumacácori National Historical Park to reconnect with Alberto Chini, his wonderful wife Iilda, the Trentino delegation, Padre Claudio, and Mark O'Hare, where Alex had the chance to give a great tour of the Mission.

Alberto is a descendent of Padre Kino and they were here to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of Padre Kino's tomb and to advocate for his sainthood. It was so great to meet them after Alex had an amazing time in Segno, Italy, in November 2022!
