Magdalena de Kino Day Trip
Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of northern Mexico on this day trip to Magdalena de Kino, a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) known for its cultural significance and charm.
This historic community is the terminus of an annual pilgrimage that unites the three cultures of the borderlands: Indigenous, Mexican, and American.
Magdalena de Kino is also the final resting place of Jesuit missionary Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino. During the tour, you’ll have the unique opportunity to peer into his crypt and view the earthly remains of this remarkable explorer, cartographer, and peacemaker who shaped the region’s history.
You will have the chance to visit one of Kino’s earliest missions, San Ignacio de Caborica founded in the 17th century.
As we explore the town, you’ll marvel at beautiful murals that celebrate its rich cultural heritage, soak in the atmosphere of the central plaza, and savor the flavors of northern Mexico with a delicious regional breakfast and lunch.
