Nogales, Arizona Past & Present Tour
This walking tour of Nogales, AZ is divided into different districts each with its interpretive theme. There are approximately 2 miles of walking including some grades of hills like historic Crawford Ave.

CRAWFORD AVE. (Geography of Nogales)
We will go together as a group from the meeting place to take in the residential architecture dating back to more than 100 years ago and gain a vantage point to go over the geography of the binational city.
DENNIS DECONCINI GATE (Border History & Contemporary Border Issues)
We will descend the hill to the main gate of Nogales and the historic U.S. Customs House. Overview of the Mexican Revolutionary War heritage in Nogales and the multiple ports of entry.
HISTORIC MORLEY AVE. STREETSCAPE (Economic and Transportation Heritage of Nogales)
Guided tour of the Arizona community's most important commercial and historical street with diverse architectural styles.
MURALS (Street art and modern Nogales)
We will visit some of the new vibrant community murals and view the 1904 Historic Nogales Courthouse and the 1917 Bowman Hotel recently revitalized into senior residences.
Meeting place:
Burger King, 47 N Sonoita Ave, Nogales, AZ 85621
Look for the guide INSIDE the Burger King at a table with Borderlandia gear on to identify themselves.
Parking:
You may park in the FAR BACK of the Burger King Parking lot up against the wall. The front parking area is for their daily customers. You go inside Burger King to the cashier to pay for the parking who will give you a slip of paper to place on your car’s dashboard. If the parking lot is full there are multiple parking lots directly in front of the Burger King.
What to bring: Please bring comfortable shoes and sun protection - sunscreen, hat, and/or long-sleeved loose-fitting clothing and plenty of water.
