Walking downtown Tucson’s El Presidio & Barrio Viejo quarters, you'll explore the history & architecture of the community through the themes of the Indigenous, Spanish Colonial, Mexican, and American Territorial eras as well as get to know the regional Sonoran Row House tradition.

This is an opportunity to discover what makes Tucson such a unique place that forms part of America's tapestry.

Length: Approx. 2 miles total walking distance on this urban trek along sidewalks and relatively level paved streets.

What to bring: Please bring comfortable shoes and sun protection - sunscreen, hat, and/or long-sleeved loose-fitting clothing and plenty of water.

Meeting Place Address: La Casa Cordova, 175 N Meyer Ave., Tucson, Arizona

What to look for: La Casa Cordova is a historic white-plastered adobe row house with distinctive recessed blue doors. Look for the flat roof and drainage pipes known as canales. It is directly to the right of the front entrance of the Tucson Museum of Art.

The guide will have BORDERLANDIA gear on for identification.

Cancellation Policy - Arizona Day Tours
Single-day trips in Arizona available for registration on the Borderlandia website are fully refundable up to four weeks before the tour date. If cancellation occurs within four to two weeks of the tour’s day, they are subject to a $20 (per person) cancellation fee. There is no refund if cancellation occurs within two weeks of the tour date. There’s also the option to transfer the registration to another individual found by the original registrant.
